Lawrence Station, written by local playwright, Len Cuthbert, was first staged in 2023 in Strathroy, and returns in 2026 with a music infused version, music composed and lead by Fynn Cuthbert. This play is about Canada's worst aviation disaster at the time in 1941, a local historical event.

SYNOPSIS: When American Airlines Flight 1 crashed on Thompson and Viola Howe’s farm on October 30, 1941, the residents of Lawrence Station, Ontario and the surrounding community rushed to rescue the 17 passengers and 3 crew members aboard. It remains one of Canada’s deadliest aviation disasters. This music-infused play explores the lives forever changed by the tragic final flight of the Flagship Erie.
