Big Bend Conservation Area

An archaeological site located here was shared by hunting and gathering Indigenous peoples over 3,000 years ago. Also located here are a boat launch (access closed December to spring) to the Thames River which is a Canadian Heritage River, Memorial Forest, picnic shelter with tables and open space for sports and games.  Areas for hiking, and fishing for yellow perch and pickerel.

Great Canadian Hideaway

The Great Canadian Hideaway offers many pastimes for the "day-tripper" as well as the overnight camper. Enjoy a swim in our unique, supervised 1500 sq. ft. heated pool (opens at the end of June) or relax down at the natural beach. Rent a paddleboat or canoe and take it out on our beautiful 200-acre man-made lake. Great fishing - the reservoir is stocked with small & large-mouthed bass, sunfish, yellow perch, crappie, carp and some pike. Join us for our annual Fishing Derby each July!
